Pin Unplugged Network Cable when it is OK

I have a 3Com card built on my ASUS board using Windows XP Prof 2. I was downloading a new copy of RealPlayer and it loaded wrong and I deleted it and re-installed it. From that point on every time I boot up I get the message Network Cable disconnected. I go to the Control Panel and open Network Connections and Disable the connection and then Enable the connection and I am back in business. I have called SBC and ASUS and no help. I might add I have run Disk Tools, Defrag, Registery First Aid and I have all of Microsoft updates on my Windows XP Prof. It is so funny that I can disable it and then enable it and it work until I shut off the computer. any suggestions?

Grin Found Problem and Fixed it

Found the problem, the 3Com Diagnostics Program had become messed up. When I removed it the problem stopped.
