Sharing Internet Connection

hello i have a SPEEDSTREAM 5100 DSL modem, i have a
DSL acount with a username and password, my network
composed of 3 pc's, im using a SWITCH, i dedicate the
1st PC as the server to dial my DSL connection with 2
lancards on it the 1st LANCARD as wer the DSL modem
connected and the 2nd to the local network directly to
switch, all the TCP/IP setting are set to OBTAIN IP
ADD AUTOMATICALLY, i enabled the internet sharing on
the PPoE dialer the i'v created in the server wer
winXP is installed, wen im connected already the
internet connection in the server is ok, but in the
workstations i cannot browse the page BUT I CAN PING
the internet adresses of the sites from within the
workstations, there are cases where some sites can be
browse from the worstations but only very slow.. I've
tried using an ordinary DIAL UP internet using a
prepaid card and a telephone line and an internal PCI
modem and all PC's can browse nornally to the
net..This means that my network and sharing config is
OK.. but why is it that wen i will use the DSL
conection, the workstations CANNOT browse but the site's
IP ADD can be ping..I am suspecting that the DSL provider
have some sort of a configurations they placed in the modem
to strictly limit the connection to only a single PC..Can someone
provide me an assistance on how to manipulate the modem?
I believe the modem has an IP ADDRESS of 192.168.0.1 but i'm
not sure of the ACCESS CODE on it because the yellow sticker
at the back of the modem is not present as what the modem's
manual is saying where all the log-in info is suppose to be there.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM..
please send me a reply to my add email
nathan_uiccoe99@yahoo.com.. thank you.

Is there any reason you don't invest in a cheap broadband router and dispense with ICS? It's much easier to live with, and you don't have to keep one computer on just to be a "server". On rebate deals, routers are around for peanuts. Here's a four port wireless router from CompUSA for $5 after rebates.

To Johnwill

the company dont want to invest on that router because on their other branch, they were able to make that setup up and running, the only difference is the modem used, they are using a NOKIA DSL modem there..That's why this is my big problem now because the boss is keep on insisting that they were able to make that same dsl package running on the other branch but why can't here..i reasoned out that the way the modem is configured there is different here that's why i wanna modify it but i dont have the proper codes to acess it.... can u help me? Im in the philippines now, everybody here is doing some underground moves to be able to share a single user internet package to other pc's...unlike in your country that you guys there are rich, but here...we dont have a lot of money to invest in a much expensive setup and dsl package...thanks..i hope u can help me men..

Well, I can't imagine why the configuration of the modem would have ANYTHING to do with ICS not working if the host machine has internet access. I will be truly astonished if that could have anything to do with your situation. I truly believe you're looking in the wrong place for the problem.
