Question Networking a Motorola SB5120

I have a question about my Motorola SB5120. Actually two questions. First of all is there a major difference in speed between an ethernet and an USB connection. Currently I am using an ethernet connection and I love the speed I'm getting from my provider.

Secondly can I use both the Ethernet and USB connection together. For instance I am trying to connect my PS2 and I need an ethernet connection. So would I be able to connect my computer using the USB and my PS2 using the ethernet? Or would I just need to buy a cable modem router?

Sorry it's such a petty question, but I greatly appreciate your time and expertise.

Thank You.

Don't know if you could use both the USB and Ethernet?

I would just get a router, many more advantages and probably less headache.

I would suggest a wireless router, as they are just as cheap as a wired router in most instances and you never know when you may want or need the wireless.

I agree with James, the only reason to use USB for networking is if there is no other choice. The router is also the clear answer here, since you can normally only use one of those connections to the modem at a time.
