Internet Problems Error 633

well the windows problem has been taken care of and now i have another problem. Internet. When i try to connect it says "Your modem is not configured properly, or another application is using it" thats out of my memory bank so thats not EXACTLY what it said. Keep in mind folks that this modem was 9 $.

It should only say that when the modem is actually in use, say if you're on a BBS or conencted to the Internet. It will also do that if you are using it to place a voice call or to send/receive a fax. For $9 I wouldn't expect too much quality...

Try going to the System control panel, hardware tab and device manager. Do you see any ! or X marks next to any devices?
