Hi everyone,
I'm new here but it looks like you might be the right people to help me. I've spent all day trying to fix a problem with our network and Internet connection. Neither the server nor the network clients have any Internet access, but the router does. It's running a succesful diagnostic including a ping to an external IP. Our Setup Windows Server 2003 with two network cards - one for Internet; one for local area network. One card connected to a Zoom X4 (Series 1011) router which is connected to the phone line (ADSL). Other card connected to a Netgear 5 port hub (EN2005). Hub is connected to a Belkin 54g (F5D7130) wireless access point which serves two desktop computers wirelessly. The desktops can access the server but not the Internet. The server cannot access the Internet either. I've run the Internet and email wizard in Server Management without any errors, restarted the server and network equipment and still no joy. TCP/IP Configuration ROUTER (INTERNET CONNECTION) IP: 10.0.0.3 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 10.0.0.2 HUB (LOCAL AREA NETWORK) IP: 192.168.8.1 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: (blank) WIRELESS ACCESS POINT IP: 192.168.2.254 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.2.1 Any thoughts greatly appreciated - I'm pulling my hair out here! Thanks! Aaron |

After a couple of days of what can only be described as fruitless fiddling, it's working again.
Unfortunately, I don't know why, but at least we can get on with the real work... Thanks for your reply nevertheless! |
