Having problems configuring voice calls

Hi, I am trying to use the voice dialing features of the above mentioned modem on a Toshiba Tecra M2 laptop. The software I am using is able to detect voice capabilities but I can neither hear nor speak to someone when they pick up the phone that i am dialing, I think there is no connection between the sound card and the modem. I have tried changing the voice recording and listening options to Line playback and Line record and any other possible option in the sound/voice options in control panel but still get nothing. I am using the latest Intel MD5661 Modem Chipset drivers from their site and the latest Soundmax sound card drivers, can you guys help at all?

Cheers

The ones I have seen just dial. You have to pick up the phone to talk.
