SpeedTouch 530 - Kernel Warm restarts
I have two SpeedTouch 530's - one side with static IP the other standard dynamic . Building a VPN across (server on the static IP side) and using NAT
to forward protocol 47 and tcp port 1723. from inside 10.0.0.1 to outside static IP. VPN connects fine and I can build a connection between the two systems, but modem at the server side does intermittent "Kernel warm restarts" (and in turn looses the entire configuration). ISP thought, at first, it to be a modem fault - so I swapped the two - reconfigured the lot - same problem. Both SpeedTouch 530's are at latest available firmware rev. Both server and client systems are WindowsXP Pro SP2. ANy idead what could be the cause? |
