LED on router

i currently using yahoo sbc dsl
SpeedStream 5100-b modem
connect to a 4 port levtion router
connect to 2 computer
xp win
problem is that yesterday all the modem light was lid and the internet work .
today i dc the router by mistake and one of the light is not lid which was the internet light. but the internet still work but it seem like the internet appear to be alittle slower.

can cabling effect the light and the speed?

reset the router if the cable was faulty i doubt you would get anything speed depends on the site you are accessing and congestion on the internet
