SpeedStream 5200 e242 problems...

All right... I have a SpeedStream 5200 e242 DSL modem and Alltell ISP... I just got this new computer, OS is XP, and whenever someone gets on the phone, the modem completley stops responding... this didnt happen with my old computer... can anyone help?

you are using a line filter when you pick up the phone are there any interference noises you can hear

Sounds like the filters are not properly installed.
