Broadband In Two Locations

Hi;

Due to work I live in a rented flat away from home and I also own my own property which I visit once or twice a month.
In my primary location the, most used, I am on BT Broadband Option 1 and in my secondary location I am on an old tarrif, Option 4 I think, at £25.00 per month.

I have kept the internet in my secondary location because my kids were at home but they have now moved out and my wife is a non PC user.

The cost of £25 per month for the secondary location cannot be justified so I am going to have it removed and only have BT Broadband in my primary location.

QUESTION - How can I get broadband in the secondary location without having a DSL enabled line?

I asked BT if I could pay for one but access both and that is not an option.

I haven't really looked at Mobile Broadband but I am signed up to BT Broadband in the primary location for another 12 months, besides mobile broadband usage is heavily restricted.

I could register my primary location with BT FON as according to the map there is a BT FON registered WiFi user near my secondary location but it appears to be to far away, even for a High Gain Antenna.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Ta

Re: Broadband In Two Locations

I think you're out of luck if those options don't do it for you. In order to have a connection at that location you have to actually have a connection.

Re: Broadband In Two Locations

There is cheaper than £25 a month available. You still need to have a BT landline, or one of the phone suppliers that use BT lines.
If you are out of the minimum contract with BT, you can get a MAC code from BT internet people and using that, can transfer to another internet provider. Your options of internet provider will depend on which BT exchange you're on. Certainly there should be a choice for less than £25.
You could look for an Enta reseller in your area, you should be able to get transferred over and pay between £15 - £20 monthly for the broadband, and about £12 monthly for the landline.
