I'm having problems uploading to websites

Just recently my computer has gone crazy, whenever I try to upload anything to any website, the progress bar goes really quickly, as if it is uploading really quickly, but it's actually uploading at the normal speed it always does, so the progress bar gets to the end way before the file has completed uploading. Last time I uploaded a video to YouTube the progress bar did the crazy thing it does, so pressed cancel after about 10 minutes because I didn't think the video had uploaded, but when I went to my videos it was there, but all the info I had typed in was lost.

So what has happened to my computer? is it a virus, I have AVG installed do I need to use something else? What can I do to get it working normally again?

I've tried getting the Ethernet LAN drivers for my other computer so I can set the web up on it, as far as I know it is OK, it has an ASUS M2V-MX motherboard, at the ASUS site I think I found some drivers, but I dont know if they are the right ones, and everywhere else I've tried just gives me a link to get driver detective, or a bios update, but not the drivers themselves. Driver detective is totally useless in my case. So where could I get those drivers, please give me some links, I need the ones that will work. I thought I'd found a driver, but when I tried to install it I just got an error saying I don't have the Attansic L1 Ethernet controller installed, so I got this atansic L1 thing, and when I try to install that, I get ANOTHER error saying I need to close any running programs, empty my temporary older and check my internet connection.
