Belkin N wireless router not getting a connection

Hey all,

I've got a Belkin N wireless router that has been working relatively fine for the past day or two. Suddenly this evening I stopped getting any connection through it at all.

I've got a Windows XP box wired connection and an OSX (Leopard) machine using the wireless connection. Everything is being run through a Motorola (cable company) cable modem.

When the wireless router is plugged in, I get no connection to either machine. Skipping the wireless router and just plugging the desktop computer (XP machine) into the cable modem and I have no problem connecting to the Internet.

I've tried restarting both the router and the modem, restarting the computers, etc. but to no avail.

Also worth knowing, I had to restore the wireless router to the factory settings two days ago to get it working. After doing so it worked fine for two days. Now when I have it connected I can't even hit the configuration page on my Web browser. I also get the "network has no or low connectivity" alert on my desktop computer (wired connection.)

Finally, FWIW, when I have the wireless working, the Windows box that is using the wired connection is usually shut down. It was not running when the connection blinked out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Belkin N wireless router not getting a connection

Sounds like the router died. If a factory reset doesn't allow you to connect using a wired connection, the router is toast!

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I suppose I'm lucky it has a lifetime warranty then.

Thanks!
