Connected to the network but not the internet.
My girlfriend has a HP Pavilion which has quite a few problems but the one I keep running into has got me perplexed. I'm going to layout some of the problems I'm already dealing with so that if you think it may have inhibited this current problem, you can tell me.
First her WiFi card seems to have went out. The light doesn't come on and the built in wireless internet programs no longer respond. Second, the current Vista product key seems to be invalid and I can't afford to buy a new product key. So we have to do a complete reinstall every 3 to 4 weeks. Which is a pain in the ***. Now in order for her to get online we hooked her Motorola Que to her laptop. At first it connected no problem, straight to the internet. Then we had to do the complete reinstall, then it wouldn't connect and I fidgeted with some settings and it worked. Then we had to reinstall again... Tried the same thing but now its saying that it will connect to the network but not to the internet. I'm to a point of throwing the whole damn thing away. Can anyone help? |
