Linksys WRT54G and Connections
I know I've bugged you guys alot, but you do help out tons.
Seems my router or ISP is at it again and by using common sense I'm going to say its ..my Cisco Linksys WRT54G Router. Heres the deal. The Internet Connection to main computer (router is attached to) the internet connection is stable and doesn't skip a beat. (Well 10-15 MBPS but thats norm for our area) My computer on the other hand was working just fine , then one day randomly it starting giving me very choppy connections, very random. One Minute it was 1MBPS then it jumps to 13 then 4 then 15 then 8 etc. more or less connection speeds are all over the place. I've tried everything that includes DHCP Release DHCP Refresh Making the IP Static Resetting router to factory settings I've been trying to find out what it is, as it just started happening out of the blue, and I've downloaded nothing on to this comp that would cause any slow down. I'm desperate here, when a 3 min video takes 10 min to load, somethings wrong, This isn't the 90's I need my high speed!P.S. I'm connecting wirelessly I know wireless isn't the best but I can't run a wire and I know I have good stength (3-4 bars) |

Re: Linksys WRT54G and Connections
Any other wireless devices nearby? cordless phones, especially, will often interfere this way. Try switching channels.

Re: Linksys WRT54G and Connections
Some things you can try here, listed in the order you should try them.
Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.
