Wireless driver not cooperating

Hello everyone,

The hard drive on my DELL Latitude D610 laptop recently crashed and I had to purchase a 160 GB Hard drive from a computer store. The HD was used and completely blank, so I had to reload Windows XP and all of the drivers to get the computer to do anything..

Now my problem is the DELL.com recommended or stock driver is not the one that my computer wants to get along with.. I tried to get the Broadcomm 57xx Wireless driver to work, but it did not.. I have downloaded an Intel ProSet wireless program and I was able to get on the Internet via Wireless for 1 or 2 days, then it stopped working..

I am currently trying to get on the Internet and I am getting this error message: "Intel PROset/Wireless software was unable to detect a supported wireless adapter. Please install a supported adapter" Even the Intel Wireless Troubleshooter App has "encountered a problem and needs to close"..
