Satellite internet Problems
Hello, I use satellite internet due to my location, i live near a military base, and i pay for 568 kbps. My connection is great sometimes, but sometimes it seems like its barely there at all, i believe the problem is interference, and im looking to find a product that will block interference, my internet setup is a series of ethernet cords connected to a modem, and im trying to avoid replacing the modem itself, ive heard there are products that you can put on the ethernet cords or plug into the modem that cuts interference, can anyone point me in the right direction??

Re: Satellite internet Problems
I'm going to guess there's little you can do for interference past the antenna, it has to be pointed at the satellite, so you're out of luck there.
I can't imagine that you're having an interference on wired connections. Tell me about this "series of Ethernet cords", that doesn't sound that good.

Re: Satellite internet Problems
ok, well, there is a modem on my roof, and an ethernet cord going from the roof to the router, then from the router to multiple computers and an xbox. And yes its not wireless, but it is satellite, i figured there could be interference in between the carrier and my modem, not from my modem to my xbox or computer.

Re: Satellite internet Problems
Unless the Ethernet cord is damaged coming from the satellite box to the router, I can't imagine interference being internal.
