Wireless connects for a few seconds, dies.

Hello.

I've been having a problem with my wireless ever since I installed Windows XP a few days ago. I can find the connection with no problem and can connect to my router easily. I can even use the internet. The thing is though, I can only use it for a few seconds before the connection dies. My computer is still connected to the router but no information is being received. Another strange thing is if I'm constantly using the connection (loading pages, downloading things) everything is fine. As soon as I stop for 5-10 seconds though, the same thing happens.

This is a new computer but I used the same card on my old one with no problem (same router) and have the latest drivers for the card installed. I can ping my computer's IP but not my router's or any outside address. I'll post more information if you let me know what to post.

Thank you.

Did you use DHCP?
Can you post "ipconfig /all" in command prompt?
