Wireless working in some cases, but not in others
Hi,
I have a weird situation and would appreciate any ideas about how to resolve this (without having to reinstall the entire system or something like that). I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop and until a few days ago it had no problems connecting to my wireless network. Then, out of the blue, it wont connect anymore to the internet through the Netgear WGR614 router, though it recognises the network (that is, I am connected locally to the network , but not the internet). The weird part is that - - other computers can connect to the wireless as before (though another Dell Inspiron might also be having problems) - my computer can connect to other wireless networks (Linksys) - my computer can connect to the network with a cable connected to the router I tried all the usual rebootings and resettings (of computer, router and modem), as well as trying to type in again the wireless password. Nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions? Thank you |
