DSL startup intermittent
I have a Linksys router and a Zoom modem. My two desktops are hard wired to the router. When I first turn on my computer the DSL most times will not connect. This happens with both computers. If I reboot the modem the connection will be ok. Could this be a timing problem (to many things going on at startup) and if so where should this be reset or rearranged?

Re: DSL startup intermittent
I assume you are leaving your modem and router on 24/7. Thats what they are designed to do. I however do unplug the phone jack when there are thunderstorms in the area. Otherwise 24/7.
When I boot up any of my computers all is fine, they are online immediately, since the modem and router are online. |
