Linksys WUSB54G v.4 Power Surge problem.
I have a Linksys WUSB54G v.4 adaptor hooked up to a Dell Optiplex 270. It installed fine. It worked fine till it started giving me a power surge message, which I have to reset or the port will be disabled. Then I would plug it back in, enable it, and the adaptor would work fine again. Now, it gives me the message, but will not allow itself to be enabled. No matter what port I put it in, it gives me the power surge message, and I have no internet on that computer. Any suggestions? The adaptor is only a month old. Thank you in advance for any help I may get.

Re: Linksys WUSB54G v.4 Power Surge problem.
I've never seen this error but I've read about something similar. It basically means there is a power short in the USB device. Lucky for you the adapter is still under warranty. Contact Linksys or your retailer.
