Modem Firewall

Hello,

I am new to this website, but I am looking to know how to disable my modem's firewall so that I am able to play on ps3. My NAT type is 3 and I need it to be type 2. I paid before to have it done and they just disable my cable modem (motorola) firewall and it changed it to the correct type.

Someone please help... :-)

You did not post the make and model numbers of your modem and router. So it would be impossible to answer your question. It would be much faster if you look the information up yourself from your manufacturers web site. Linksys, Belkin, Netgear, D-Link and others all have very good setup and configuration information on their web support sites.

Of course if you get stuck, please do come back here and post a follow-up with more information about what equipment you have.

Sorry about that. My modem is a motorola sb 5101i and my router is a linksys wrt54gs2. Please let me know if you need anything else to assist me.

I can't seem to find that level of information for your Motorola. However I did find this link for changing the PS3 to Nat 2.

Hopefully one of the TSF Game forum Mods will spot this thread with more info.
