Help? Weird problem, i think w/ router.
I have a weird problem dealing w/ my router.
I'm not sure if this may even be called a problem, i'm not that well versed in tech thats why. I'm trying to get back in b/c i want to forward new ports 4 my ps3 n xbox360. Well the problem is I can't log into my router. I logged into my router a few months ago and configured it wen i first bought it and changed the username and password without writing it on a paper for some unknown reason. Now i want to try to log back into the router but can't. Is there some way to be able to recover my username and password w/o having to reset my router? Because i don't want to lose the setting of how i configured my router wen i first configured it. My router is one Netgear wgr614v7 if that helps. thanks before hand for your help anyone. ![]() * i found this online when trying to find a solution but not sure if it may be able to help w/ my predicament? that is to try n use this method to try n find my username n paaword http://blog.ktdreyer.com/2008/01/hacking-wgr614.html Last edited by kassass; 08-24-2009 at 09:59 PM. |

Re: Help? Weird problem, i think w/ router.
the people here probably wont be able to help u because this involves hacking and bypassing security which i dont think the tech team here does, not to mention u could be just a random person trying to hack someones network but good luck with getting the password and username, resetting it might be the best bet and reconfiguring it

Re: Help? Weird problem, i think w/ router.
It's the way you framed your question. You said you were looking for a way to crack your router. That's something you're not going to get an answer to here.
Your best bet is to download the user manual for your router first, then follow the instructions for resetting it. It's really not that difficult. |
