[SOLVED] current problem
Hi there
![]() My friend can't speak or write in English so he asked me to help him for this problem: today the current went off at his house for a few hours and when they turned it on later ,he swithed his PC on and saw that his modem's light indicating "Power" is blinking in red. He checked the connection to the current for the modem and it was ok, he removed the cables ,leading to the modem and put them back again-no result,he tried restarting it from the button at the back of the modem and still he had no luck it's still blinking in red although he can see "Ethernet " and "DSL" glowing in green. Any ideas and help will be appreciated. Thank you very much ![]() in advance Your friend, TATAR (Ivo) Last edited by TATAR; 08-20-2009 at 12:30 PM. |

Re: current problem
Ok I'm not really familiar with that kind of modem but what you can do is to hard reset it, push reset button or poke it for 1 minute, check if the wall socket is working fine (you can try a different wall socket just to make sure...) make sure power cable is properly connected to the modem, if power still red then maybe it is already a dead modem.
Try calling your ISP to check if the modem still in warranty and have them replace it. Hope this helps.
