d-link dwl-g520 signal problems
I have a problem with a d-link dwl-g520 pci wireless card rev b.. I installed a super g airplus dlink wireless network a month ago putting a d-link airplus cardbus into my laptop with great success.
I can get full speed 108 mbps on the laptop all around my flat with very little signal drop, so i installed a pci version onto my main pc with the intention of moving it into my spare room. Trouble i now have is the main pc has little or no signal no matter where i put the dl-624 router, even if i put it right near the pc i can only get maybe a 50 percent signal . i,ve tried updating drivers on all hardware, moving pc around the room, dancing naked (was worth a try was either that or hit it with hammer) . only things i can think of is either not enough power going to the pci card ( had that problem with internal modem a few years ago) or its something you guys can help me with .i,m running windows xp with a pentium 4 2.8 |

have you tried changing the channels on the router? it may be the signal propagation on the card or its having a hard time riding on the current frequency.., you may try changing the advance settings for the card also..

dlink problems
i,m having a hard time trying to change the channel. the dl624 router has a default channel of 6 and it wont actually let me change it. I used Netstumbler to
get a fix on a good signal but i,m still only getting max 50 percent |
