Them darn hackers up to no good

Hello everyone im new here i found this site after google took me here from enough searches. i had the internet for awhile now and decided to try wifi for a change since i got a new laptop and was that a mistake i was using a linksys wireless router that i used wep with a strong password and after a few days i noticed the light on the modem was blinking fast non stop for days. i then noticed in the router that 8 people have been logged into my router on wireless even tho i had a password what i did was reset the router and changed my password again and again in 24 hours someone had got back in again. the next thing i did was buy a new router Airlink and decided to try wpa because i read it was better so thats what i did and created an even stronger password. after 3 days everything was fine and i thought the hacker(s) was a thing of the past. the forth day they got in again and this time changed things in my computer like home page firewall and even deleted Kaspersky from my computer so i got a good friend of mine to format my computer that took him 2 days and in this time i unhooked everything from the wall till i got my computer back. i reset router again and used wpa changed password again and made it not broadcast that did no good because there at it again what can i do ?

Re: Them darn hackers up to no good

You also need to change the admin password on your router, as well as setup WEP or WPA. You need to log in to the router admin, and you'll find a page where you can change the admin login password. That should keep outsiders off your router. Make sure you also do the WEP or WPA.
