Re: Netgear wpn824 v2 Timeout problems
I have had teh exact same problem with my WPN824 V2 router only it broke aal connectivity every 20 minutes xx:00 xx:20 xx:40 on all 3 computers that were connected (wired)
That problem was solved with a firmware upgrade, but not 1 day later a new problem occured. Now the internet only works as it should with games like World of Warcraft and various downloads, but, everything i try to do with Inet Explorer gets extremely slow and often i get page cannot be found errors. And i can add that it all gets even worse when attempting to use firefox. Things i have tried to do on 2 of the computers (1 with Vista64 and 1 with Vista32) Disabled IPv6. Result: no effect Changed MTU to optimal package size. Result: no effect Changed DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag value to 0 with regedit (on all relevant subkeys and also 1 by 1 to check for effect) Result: No effect Router reset to factory default. Result: No effect Router upgrade via my ISP. Result: No effect Checked different power plugs just in case. Result: No effect note. my power seems to be running fine, I am not getting wierd flickering or constant lights that don't belong on my router. Toggled off wireless. Result: No effect All 3 computers run IP's that are different from eachother this also goes if i am not downloading, the problem is the same, though it does seem like I get 5 minutes of good internet once or twice in the hour. the only way i can get above 10 minutes of smooth internet is by unpluggign and then replugging the power every 15 minutes or so. Added to that i often have problems when i try to enter the Router via the standard IP 192.168.1.1 it won't even let me see the log in screen (this only happens now and then and is not constantly) Any possible solution? Or should i simply go get myself a new Linksys router? edit I have also tried to reinstall windows from the bottom on a clean HDD, problem still persists Last edited by Enterdeath; 07-01-2009 at 08:09 AM. |

Re: Netgear wpn824 v2 Timeout problems
Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.
I've created a new thread for your issue here. Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you. Thanks for your cooperation.
