How to configure modem without key in ISP provided username and password all the time

Hi,

I am from Malaysia. My country internet service had gave me an username and password for accessing internet. Currently i set to connect to internet by enter username and password all the time. But now, i want to try to set my username and password inside my modem for permanent. I did try PPPoE LLC setting with DNS server ip address and then setting my network connection always on. But this method had fail. I hope somebody have a good idea for me to solve this problem.

Re: How to configure modem without key in ISP provided username and password all the

What is purpose of using primary DNS server and secondary DNS server? Recently my modem very unstable, the connection always lost receive package in midway and then the Link light keep blinking and suddenly no blinking and blinking again. So after i try to put primary DNS server ip address and Secondary DNS address, the internet turn back to stable again. Sometime i really confuse, why my country ISP service are so different with other country like Virgin broadband in UK?

Re: How to configure modem without key in ISP provided username and password all the

Domain name server is the server assigned in translating ip address to website and vice versa. Usually I force my primary and secondary DNS if I cannot browse or losing packets using PING in command prompt. Forcing your DNS it's like forcing your modem to go straight to your ISP server.

I'm not familiar with your modem and not sure what "link" light represents. But usually flashing light on modem isn't good. You might wanna call your ISP and check if your dropping your connection on their end.
