2Wire connect to laptop

Have the Ethernet connected to the PC. Trying to connect wireless to laptop. Need a diagram for directions...Have the cables,I think, just not sure how to connect to phone lines and ethernet and remain connected for PC. I want to run two computers so I can e-mail photos from my digital camera from the laptop. Is there a diagram available?

Re: 2Wire connect to laptop

What kind of internet connection do you have?

If you got DSL, you'll want to connect the modem to the wall jack with a regular phone cable. Then, from the modem, you use an ethernet cable to connect to the router.

Then you connect the PC to the router with an ethernet cable (you already got this I believe), and set up your router to enable the wireless connection.

Then you set up the laptop to use that wireless connection.

If you got Cable, you connect the router to the cable modem, connect your PC to the router, and set up the router to enable wireless connections. Then, configure the laptop to use that wireless connection.

Re: 2Wire connect to laptop

phone jack > phone cord > 2wire modem > ethernet cord > PC

to establish wireless go to internet explorer and go to address bar and type in either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.254 then go to HOME NETWORK on top and make sure wireless is enabled then click on EDIT SETTINGS to the bottom right hand to configure wireless. Change your Network Name, Channel, Wireless Key if it's WEP/WPA then save your settings. Then configure laptop to connect wireless.
