some help here
Ok,now I have TP-link 8840 router,a mtorola vt2442 voice gateway and a Belkin wireless G router.
The connection is as follows: the tp-link router connected to the internet and it is the main router. the voice gateway connected to the tp-link router and to the desktop. the wireless router connected to one of the ports in the tp link router but not connected to the desktop. the problem is that I cannot share files between the laptop and the desktop because the wireless router isn't connected to the desktop so they aren't on the same network, and I can't disconnect the voice gateway to log ni it . so any solution to this problem ,any software or anything. please help. |

Re: some help here
I don't know the options available on the tp-link GUI's interface, but there's got to be one somewhere that allows you to enter static routes. If you can't find it, look at the manual of the router, or find a guide on setting up static routes on that tp-link router.
Once you find how, set up a route to go to the laptop's network. You need to tell the router how to reach the laptop's network. So you have to tell it that to reach the laptop's network (192.168.2.0), use the D-Link connected right to it (192.168.1.2). [IP addresses based on my diagram below] the D-Link's default gateway will be the tp-link's address. |
