[SOLVED] Issue with 2Wire Home Portal 1700HG
For a while now this router has been operating fine, at some point in the recent past, it suddenly stoped working properly. the LAN light will not light up (Power and Broadband do) and i can not connect properly to the network. I do recieve a SSID, and it will display the "limited or no connectivity" message when i try to connect. It is also not connecting at the correct speed: 24/36 Mbps rather than 54(g). To my knowledge, the router had not been damaged, tampered or misused and I am the origonal owner.
Things i have tried: - Unplugging the router - Pressing the reset button (10 secconds) - Powering the router with the Reset button pressed Things i have not tried: - Buy a new router

Some things you can try here.
Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.

Re: Issue with 2Wire Home Portal 1700HG
Thanks for the input, i attached the router through ethernet to a computer and was able to get it back up and working. (reset router, changed channel, disabled/enabled wireless and encryption)
