Verizon DSL and WOW

I have been playing Wow for about 4 months now. I'd just moved to another area in Pittsburgh. I used to have FIOS, but is not available in my new area, so I swithched to Verizons DSL. I have the 7M connection and have suddenly experienced fps issues while playing. I never had them before. When I contacted blizzard, they gave me a list of things to try, but none of them are working. They also told me that connection has nothing to do with fps. Then why am I having them now when I didnt have them before? I had just got the service, but am thinking about switching to comcasts broadband. Is that the only answer?

Typically, cable will have better response than DSL, so that may be your only option.

Let's run a diagnostic on your current line.


Register at DSLReports and run their Line Quality Tests. It's best to run this test with a direct wired connection to eliminate any wireless issues from the results. It's useful many times to run this test several times, and we'd like to see each of the results. Post the results link from the top of the test display page for each test run here.
