Wireless connection quit working
I have two computers a desktop that is connected to the modem by a cat5 cable and a laptop that connects wirelessly. Everything worked fine until last night when I tried to connect to the internet on the laptop. The laptop said that there were no networks within range of the computer. I moved the laptop closer to the modem and still nothing. I reset the modem and powered off the computer and still it does not recognize the network. I can connect the laptop to the modem with a cat5 cable and it works fine. I have checked to make sure the wireless function is enabled on the computer and the wireless light is on on the modem. Could it be the wireless card on the computer or could something be wrong with the modem? I have an actiontec GT704wg modem.

Re: Wireless connection quit working
Well, first step would be to see if the wireless laptop works with other wireless networks. That will tell you if it's the laptop or the router.
