OS: WINXP HOME Service Pack 3
|
Hello: My problem is this: I am using a Pantech um 175 Wireless USB Modem interfaced through VZ Access Manger to get to the internet. I also am trying to setup a Wireless Lan with my Host Pc as the ICS, with WINXP OS. My wireless router is a linksys WRT 110. I setup the WRT 110 Wireless Router manually. Disabled Router Dhcp and configured the Wireless section. Enable WPA/WPA2 with a key paraphrase. That is all setup and seems to work. I I changed the router's lan ip to 192.168.0.2 from 192.168.1.1 which was the default. The Host PC accesses the internet just fine through the VZAccess Manager and onto the internet via the UM 175 USB Verizon Pantech Wireless Modem. My laptop is setup to the wireless network lan and connects just fine each and everytime BUT I CANNOT GET TO THE INTERNET AND MY LAPTOP CANNOT SEE ANY OTHER PC INCLUDING THE HOST WHEN I TRY TO VIEW WORKGROUP COMPUTERS.
What I don't understand is that I setup another winxp computer system through a wireless G-Router using the Verizon Pantech UM 175 Wireless Modem and everything on that wireless lan can access the internet! All help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you. Pete |
