[SOLVED] Reformated comp now wont connect...

I just reformated and put new windows xp on my comp and now it won't connect to the internet, I ran all the XP diagnostics and setups, but I
still can't connect. I know my modem and everything works. When I open command prompt and type ipconfig it just says like "Ip configuration" with no stats and it wont ping ether.

You are most likely missing the network drivers, and probably the motherboard chipset drivers as well.

Download and install the correct drivers for your motherboard from the manufacturer.

I tried updating the drivers and for a few of them it says I need to update throught the device manager and thats where I get confused...

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type devmgmt.msc

Open the properties of any device you want to update and select "Update Driver"
