Default Gateway connection problem
Hey at a friends house trying to get my other friends computer hooked up to the wireless. They have SSID turned off, so i was going to go into the router and change that. The default gateway is 10.0.1.1 but i cannot connect to it, when i ping it i get a 25% drop rate; typically first one times out and the rest go through.
I think it's an apple router, not sure. Can't seem to get this to work. I've tried the following: 10.0.1.1,192.168.0.1,192.168.1.0, 192.168.0.0 none of these work. The following is the result: |

Re: Default Gateway connection problem
First, open a command prompt and type IPCONFIG. The address of the Default Gateway is the base address of the router.
Note that you'll have to know the name/password for access to the router's configuration screens.
