Question Connection Problem

Hi,
I have 1MB DSL (105kbps real), and what happens to me is that after some time of active download, or maybe nothing, connection shuts down.
Modem is active, all lights are green, but I get no connection until I restart computer. Restarting modem doesn't work.

Sometimes it only blocks my torrent, and stuff with large download need like sites with lot of pics, and MSN, but Chatango still works, so as Google and some sites with 3 colors or so :)

Before, I wasn't even able to shut down computer, but I found somewhere that it is fixed by terminating "connection tray" icon in taskbar, and it worked.
But, the problem remains, so because on same site I saw they recommend new router, I'm asking you guys is that what I should do?

I have Sagem Fast 1201S router, and his default driver.

Thanx,
Aleksandar.
