Fax Help, Can't Send.
So tired of using my neighbors fax machine...
I use xp and use a hp laserjet 3330 printer/scanner/faxer. Another key variable is italkBB (some chinese company) phone service (has linksys "internet box") my modem has an ethernet cable which plugs into the "internet box" (sorry for such technical terms, but I don't know what it is) & an ethernet cable that goes from the "internet box" to my pc. There is one phone line that plug into this "internet box." That phone line plugs into the faxer. Below where that plugs in is another phone line which goes to my answering machine & phone. I can send faxes to certain people, but for some reason it doesn't work well. When I try to send faxes to any businesses I have zero luck at sending anything. So, certain faxes I cannot send to. I can always receive faxes; just need to turn off answering machine. When I do send faxes I don't push anything special...just type the number and area code if I need to. My goal is a 99% success rate so I can relieve this stress while I'm working. As far as I know I have hooked everything up well, and installed everything correctly. My boss keeps telling me to push # or 33 before sending stuff (personally, I think she's wrong). Possibilities so far: General Hardware Configuration variable is causing bottleneck. italkBB need original phone line wire? phone & message machine. Any advice that point towards the issue would be wonderful. thank you. |
