Internet loses connection for 30 seconds then reconnects.

Ill be playing a game and suddenly everything goes incredibly slow, my ping (ms) shoots up to some crazy number, then bam, disconnected. Not only the game, but AIM and ventrilo will go down as well. I'll wait 30 seconds, it'll pop back up, and everything works like it should, until at a random time the same thing will happen again. At first I thought it was an overload but I turned off all other computers / programs in the house and it still happens from time to time. I have a linksys WRT300N. I tried creating a DMZ, turning off SSID broadcast, nothings working.

I am hardwired to the main modem. If anyone has any ideas please let me know, im starting to think I may have an infection (virus, spyware, etc).

Re: Internet loses connection for 30 seconds then reconnects.

Wanted to wait a few days, and its still happening. It appears to occur more when playing World of Warcraft.

Im wondering also, could it be a overload? We have 4 computers in the house all going through one router. Im thinking maybe when the other computers are on it could affect the network and make it run slower. Im no network expert so this is just an inferred guess.

If I can't figure anything out within 2 days, I will go ahead and follow the security topic.
