No longer connects to internet

Hi there,

I'm pretty hopeless with computers, so please handle with care :-)

The problem is, a few months ago my desktop just randomly stopped connecting to the internet. All other computers/laptops in my house work fine, so the router seems to be working and I bought a new wireless adapter for my desktop, which still didn't help...I don't think the adapter is the problem as neither the original netgear adapter, or other adapter, I've tried effect the problem, and both show that a strong signal is recieved.

Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

My computer stats are:

Computer: Dell Dimension 3100C
Wireless Router: Router supplied by O2 broadband (UK company...I am based in the UK)
Wireless adapter: Netgear WG111T

Thanks in advance,

Rachel

Re: No longer connects to internet

Have you tried deleting all the stored wireless profiles and searching for a new network? Have you tried connecting with a wired connection to see if it's a general networking issue?
