Thomson 575tg V7
Hi all,
I have the Thomson 575tg V7 wireless moder router and my PC runs Windows XP with SP 2. My net card connects to the modem, (but only after i have manully entered DNS and IP address, otherwise it may not connect at all or connect with limited connectivity) and when i try to enter into the modem's interface (default 192.168.1.254) the page won't load or will load with errors. Either way i can't configure anything or enter my ISP details to connect to the net. I have tried accessing the page through IE 7 and Opera. Any ideas of what the problem could be? |

Re: Thomson 575tg V7
I would suggest you do a Factory reset and try your numbers again. They are correct, I use the same model and have no probs. Did you get a SETUP disc with it? Ifso try using it . I say this because I had probs with mine initially and the help desk of my ISP ended up making it worse. They were going to send a replacement until I reinstalled the setup software. No probs since.

Re: Thomson 575tg V7
Did factory reset, tried the set up cd but in vain.
The behaviour of the connection is very weird: Most of the times i can't enter the interface, the pc (while connected to the wirelles network) won't recognise the modem (so, i can't do a firmware upgrade or use the set up cd) and some other rare times (without changing anything) the modem is being recognised and i enter the interface, i enter the username and pass of my connection the modem connects to my ISP but i still can't open any web page... Do you think it might be a problem with the net card? Os is it the modem's problem? I have an Asus WL-138 GE net card (or an Asus WL 138G V2 i can't remember at the moment!) |

Re: Thomson 575tg V7
You're trying to configure this with a wireless connection? That's your first problem!
Connect to the router using a wired connection, I predict you'll make much more progress.
