Grin internet Connection unique problem

Hi, I am new to this support forum, and also this is the first time for me to use this thread business. so I apologize for any mistakes I make.
Problem: I have A desktop PC connected with DSL modem. (Computer A).
I would like to use the internet, via connecting to Comp A via a dial up modem from my Laptop (computer B). Since I don't have internet at my workplace yet, so I was thinking of dialling up from my laptop to my desktop PC which is already connected internet thru LAN-DSL modem. Ofcourse I have two distinct landlines. meaning DSL Line is seperate and the dial up is seperate. Thank you.

Re: internet Connection unique problem

No can do. Your dial-up modem has to connect to a matching v.90/92 modem, not a DSL connection.

Re: internet Connection unique problem

What I meant was that, my laptop connects thru its dial up (modem) to the desktop's available dial up modem, meanwhile this desktop PC is already connected to internet thru Network Card to the DSL modem (via RJ45 network cable). So one connection will be between the two machines, via dial up modems, and the desktop machine will be connected to the internet thru DSL... ?

Re: internet Connection unique problem

If you can find a suitable server application for the dial-up connection, I guess that would work. Note that connections between two v.90/92 modems will be limited to a maximum of 33kbits, so it won't be blazing fast.
