Re: Off the wall broadband que.

If by this, you mean plugging your cable TV into your modem and watching it on your PC? then no.

However, you could use a TV tuner or capture card, depending on what kind of TV you are talking about.

Perhaps re-post your question in further detail? what modem you have, ect.

Re: Off the wall broadband que.

You'd need a line to a tuner card. Also, be careful splitting the line for the modem, since that can cause all sorts of connection issues if the signal to the modem is attenuated.

Re: Off the wall broadband que.

Yeah. Totally agree with johnwill here.
As i said before, there is no possible way to watch this though your modem, because the cable TV is on a different signal that the modem cant read, from what i understand.

Just purchase a TV tuner. These come as small external USB units, or internal desktop cards.

I recommend the External USB models, as i have a cheap one of these, and because i also hook this up to cable TV, the quality is flawless.

If you intend to watch free to air TV on one of these units, i don't recommend the antennas they come with, as they have shocking quality unless your house is next door to the antenna :P

I picked mine up for $60 Australian. I'm sure you could find a good deal.

Kindest regards,

Sam.
