Limited connectivity on my wireless network

OK so last night I decided to connect my xbox to xbox live through my pc which is connected to the internet via a network adapter., so i hooked it up and turned my pc on, it detected it as a local area connection and being the dumb *** that I am, rather than find a tutorial on the internet I started messing with the network settings on my pc. I right clicked on my wireless connection and if I remember correctly ticked a box that told it to share it's connection to other pc's and I'm not 100% sure what I did next. Anyway after I was done I tried to connect my xbox and that didn't work, so I was like ok lets find a tutorial and it couldn't pull Google. My adapter finds the network but says it has limited or no connectivity. I've reset my modem and router which didn't work, and when I tried to repair the connection it didn't detect anything wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

First off, disable ICS: Disabling Internet Connection Sharing.


Next, let's do a stack repair.


TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2/SP3.

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands:

Note: Type only the text in bold for the following commands.

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults, type: netsh int ip reset reset.log

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults, type: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reboot the machine.



Finally, let's see this from that computer.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
