maybe i havent said enough. After my computer was highly contaminated, i reinstalled a different windows disc that was supposively already with installed updates from my cousin. I reinstalled windows and all the settings are gone. Im not sure if the modem came with any software, but my other computers have it while that highly contaminated one after reinstallation lost all of its settings and files. After this deletion, even the setting in LAN and or High speed internet named Local Area COnnection is gone. Im trying to know if theres a way to reinstall this connection without a cd, even still the possibility that there IS a CD somewhere. please HELP ME!

Re: After reinstallment of windows, i cant seem to use the modem
You need to get a legal copy of Windows and not try to install a version from another computer. The hardware is obviously not identical, and it's impossible to know what kind of mess you have now.

Re: After reinstallment of windows, i cant seem to use the modem
what i meant was i reinstalled windows service pack 3 XP and i checked the system of it before i reinstalled windows. I basically reinstalled the same version but a more updated beginning. WHen I plug in the cable from my modem to my computer, there is no internet and there was no connection signs at the bottom right corner.
