Satellite and wireless network problem
I currently have a Connexient wifi router with a 7.2db gain antenna connected to an XP computer which accesses the internet via a Star Duo satellite system on a USB port. Basically I am simply 'sharing' the internet connection. It has been working reasonably well but I have been unable to configure the router for wifi security. I can get to the internet through it with WiFi but I cannot use the IP number in the browser to open the control panel from either a wifi computer or via the cat5 connection. The wifi has now stopped working completely.
![]() I need to get a new router but all the ones I can find DLink, Linksys, Belkin and Netgear seem to come with a connection for a DSL modem or similar and will not configure using the CD provided until such a modem is connected. We do NOT have any phone lines at all so this is impossible.Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. |
