AG241 modem & WGT624 router!
Hi
I have a bit of a problem! I have a Linksys AG241 modem/router connected to the telephone point and then a Netgear WGT624 connected to the AG241. The problem is i do get a internet connection for a while and then it goes!? If i turn it all off and start again the same thing happens? My ISP is FSB Telecom Broadband - whan i contacted them they told me i would have to send the modem back to them for re-configuration!!!!!!!! I was not impressed with there after sales! - They did say to contact Linksys and i did and they gave me a configuration as it is now that works now and again!? I am just wondering if any of you guys out there can give me a few clues as to what i am doing wrong? My PC is a Dell The OS is XP SP3 - I have disabled all encryption at present - Connection type is hardwire ethernet (wanting to go wireless hence the router)- Internet explorer. Re: AG241 modem & WGT624 router!
If you know how to configure the Linksys in bridge mode, that would certainly be the more desirable configuration, and it may even help with the issue.

Re: AG241 modem & WGT624 router!
Hi
I am still having problems with a Linksys AG241 modem/router and a Netgear WGT624 Router with Wireless capabillities!? The Linksys is set up for PPPoA and uses a Username and Password to log on to the internet once these are applied i can turn off the PC and it will log straight back on again. This is not a problem when i have the Linksys hardwired to the PCs ethernet port, I can access the Internet with no problems! The problem starts when I try to link in the Netgear Router to allow wireless conection to two Laptops. I have tried many a configuration and many hours to get this to work with no joy - Could somebody please advise me? This is the Linksys staus menu:- Firmware Version................
