DMZ in a BT Home Hub
Hi all i am trying to help my friend setup an ip address in his dmz, we select the attached device from the list and add, then go to the dmz and add the same device again and apply
go back to connected devices it shows the ip address as 192.168.1.65 and static. we have checked the device by entering 192.168.1.65 in internet explorer and that works fine. we have setup a no-ip account so he can log onto the device but when we type the address into internet explorer, it comes up page could not be found, it does not even take him to the login of the router which it should if the ip of the device was wrong. any help on this would be great and many thanks for your time and comments. |

Re: DMZ in a BT Home Hub
Unless the router is configured for remote administration, you won't get a router login from an external connection.
You also can't type in an external address from your network and expect it to work unless the router has NAT loopback, I suspect the BT Hub probably does not.
