problem connecting to the internet
why do i need to restart first my computer before it can connect to the internet? When the computer has been turned on for a while and I plug in the network cable, it can only detect the local network but it cannot connect to the internet. I have to restart the computer to finally get it to connect to the internet. What do i need to do to skip this tedious process of restarting the comp to be able to connect to the internet? I have a windows vista os...thanks. :

The cable should be attached all the time. Windows needs to find it to use it. You could try going into device manager and rescan for changes. |
