My System

Cry internet disconnects at random intervals

my internet connection repeatedly disconnects. sometimes it is every few hours, sometimes it's every few minutes, but if i just sit and wait it will pop up showing a network cable is unplugged and reconnect itself. i've checked all the cables a ton of times and they are never unplugged. and on the LED thing the light under the cable goes off when my internet goes down. oh and there is always like a ten to fifteen minute delay for the disconnected popup to show until then it thinks it's still connected. even if i go and try the REPAIR option or unplug then plug back in it still will say everything is fine until it figures it out for itself and reconnects.

my isp is charter communications and i have a webstar dcp2100 i think.

any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

I'd strongly suspect the ISP in this scenario. Is this the only computer on the connection?
