Acceptable speed, low navigation

Since a while, I have been getting my 2Mb and good upload speeds, but a relatively high latency that my local support has considered as average. Navigation is with "latency" at the end (not for starting)(blue scrolling band below stops a while arround one milimeter before finishing and then continues). I inlcude a typical test from a good internaitonal tester.

I maintain my PC clean, defragged, and "antispied": Many thanks for any orientation. Friendly greetings (Street connections have been recently fixed together with installing a new Motorola modem at home.)

The fact that you have that kind of ping time indicates you may have a problem with your modem or router. Here's what mine looks like: http://www.dslreports.com/linequality/nil/2434667

Notice the difference in the first hop latency. If you have a separate modem and router, try connecting directly to the modem for another test.

Re: Acceptable speed, low navigation

Many thanks. I strongly agree with you. The great trouble is with my support people that insist in that that latency is normal.I will try to make them understand showing these tests. Greetings

Re: Acceptable speed, low navigation

I performed a new realiable fast test after re setting the new Motorola modem that was installed and I got this report.http://www.speedtest.net/result/348076507.png Latency improved just a little. I sent the General Manager of my server, copies of mine and your tests in order to try to convince the technicians that they are wrong (started praying also...). Many thanks again.

Re: Acceptable speed, low navigation

That may be as good as it gets down where you live.

Re: Acceptable speed, low navigation

Well, I mistakenly thought you were in South America, but perhaps my mapping software is broken?
